As you begin to decorate for the Holiday Season, keep your thoughts warm and toasty by adding some island-inspired ornaments to your tree. Whether you want to go with an entire coastal Midgett Realty 2015 Christmas Treetheme or just want a few reminders of your special place on Hatteras Island, the possibilities are endless.
Keeping up with Midgett Realty tradition, we decorated our office trees with some extra beach love, complete with authentic Hatteras Island bounty. For the avid beachcombers, you can use some of your beloved treasures, or you can purchase a variety of your favorite nautical items from your choice of craft stores that will instantly remind you of your preferred spot at the beach. Using no more than some spray paint, a hot glue gun and some ribbon, our elves went to work creating a sentimental tree filled with memories of our most cherished place on Earth.
To add some Christmas sparkle, the shells, starfish and sand dollars were either sprayed gold, cream or in a clear high gloss for extra sheen. The elves then created hooks out of ribbon and twine and hot glued them to the back of the shells and viola!
